A
Martial Arts Weekend extravaganza like no other was held in Clearwater
Beach, Florida June 5th - 7th, 2009. It was the inaugural ARN
& WMAM Hall of Fame "Martial Arts Choice Awards" and the
"32nd Battle of Florida" National Martial Arts Championships
presented and promoted by seven time "Promoters of the Year"
Danny & Theresa Zaino, Carl Stone, and Richard Hackworth who have
been promoting top rated martial arts events in Florida for nearly 30
Years.
Top martial artists
from around the world such as Olando "The Warrior" Rivera,
James "The Motivator" Cisco, Erik Marshall, Joe Corley of
American Karate and many others were honored with awards at the Banquet
in which they were inducted into the world's first peer nomination based
Sports Hall of Fame in the category of Martial Arts.
Some of the special guest
also in attendance were Famous Actor, Stuntman & Stunt Coordinator
in over 300 films, Grandmaster Kim Kahana, USKA World Champion Andy
Horne, the Father of American Kick Boxing Mike Anderson, and Jim and
Mark Graden. Over 80 awards were given out.

Also honored were Al Martino, Jay Adams and Nancy
Evans from FightZone Media/TV/Magazine. Al is the publisher of
Accent on Tampa Bay and FightZone Magazines. He is also co-owner
of FightZone TV along with Jay Adams. FightZone TV airs the best
in MMA from around the world weekly to over 21 million homes and
subscribers on various Fox Sports Network affiliates, DIRECTV, The
Dish Network and ATTU-verse weekly.
Jay, one of the most
prolific commentators in the MMA business, also produces Jay Adam's
Brawl Call, a behind the scenes national MMA news show.
Nancy Evans is Co
publisher of FightZone Magazine and is one of the most knowledgeable
and beloved figures in the fight world. Her help to fighters,
their families and careers is legendary. She can be seen at
almost every Florida fight event working behind the scenes with the
promoters, boxing commission, trainers and staff to provide the most
positive journalistic slant possible. She also provided Radio
Interviews to the
Zaino's
Martial Arts Entertainment Radio Network and
Richard Hackworth's
Action
Radio Network.
This historic event was
followed the next day by the 32nd Battle of Florida, one of the most
respected martial arts events in the country and has always drawn a
high caliber of competitors with a reputation as an official stepping
stone to the US Open ISKA World Championships in Orlando, Florida and
the World Championships in Korea.

At the event, there also was live
filming for the documentary movies "Born to Compete" and "The
Warriors Quest".

event was sanctioned by: Florida Palm Coast Karate Events / National

Carl
Stone
is an American icon whose
martial arts themed TV show aired in Clearwater Beach, Florida for
several years. In addition to being a notable self defense expert,
Grandmaster Stone is one of the top kick boxing coaches in the world
with several national and world champions currently training under his
tutelage.
Richard
Hackworth is the owner of the Action Radio Network and
Editor of World Martial Arts Magazine. His many contributions to
the Martial Arts industry as an author, radio host, and TV personality
make him a true added bonus to the success of this event.
